What We Do

• We will provide animal control and care awareness to the community, through special events and local media.

• We will provide animal control and care education to K-12^th graders through incorporating HSUS (Humane Society of the United States) and NAHEE (National Association for Humane and Environmental Education) teaching programs and materials into the local Board of Education’s school curriculum and local library presentations.

• We will fundraise by coordinating can and bottle drives, drawing and coloring contests, essay contests, sales of merchandise, raffles, and through our “Buy a Paw” campaign.

• We will create a “Hurt Animal Fund” that will assist in saving the lives of sick or injured animals that the BACF (Bridgeport Animal Control Facility) would not have the budget to save.

• We will donate to the DART’s (Disaster Animal Response Team) mission through financial contributions and also recruitment of volunteers.

• We will offer recognition to our volunteers and “Animal Control and Care” honor students through our yearly Recognition Dinner, certificates, awards and pins.
